Insufficient space to hold essentials within zippered compartment
The handbag has a relatively small zippered compartment, with pocket compartments on either side that close only with snaps. There is not nearly enough room within the zippered compartment to hold those items that need to be securely enclosed — e.g., a wallet, both sunglasses and reading glasses, my phone, and keys, none of which I would be comfortable placing in a compartment that merely snapped close. Further, there was no pocket within that zippered compartment where I could place my phone — meaning that every time I needed to locate my phone, I’d be rummaging around within the entire zippered compartment and likely needing to remove other items, like the wallet, if the phone had fallen to the bottom. All of which is a sure-fire recipe for, at best, misplacing any item removed from the bag when looking for the phone and, at worst, creating a risk of pickpocketing.
