Sent boots that had been used and returned.
I bought this pair of boots online and they arrived having already been worn. I called immediately and was advised that I had to take photos and had to email them to the company in order to do a return. I was leaving in a five day trip two days later and didn’t have time to do all the steps to get approved as a return. So, I called the Square One store and told them my situation. The store said I had 60 days to return them so there was no problem waiting until I got back from my trip. I didn’t feel comfortable with that so I ubered to the store the following day to return them in person. The store associates opened the box, looked up at me and said “We can’t take these back because they have been worn”. I explained everything that had happened before showing up in front of them.
They made a phone call to someone, returned, and agreed to send them back to the warehouse but couldn’t guarantee that I would get a refund.
I get that people lie. I wasn’t angry with the store staff. They were just doing their jobs.
But if a store takes a return on something that has clearly been worn before, they should let the customer know that in advance. Perhaps have offered it at an additional discount but at least it should have been a transparent interaction.
I was embarrassed about the whole thing and will never buy clothes or shoes online ever again.

Great quality and fit
Great quality and very comfortable boot. Typically wear a size 8, and the 8 fit great with enough room for a thicker sock or an insole for added comfort
